Grace Academy School Librarian

A fundamental part of teacher programming and literacy, school librarians:

  • Supervise library technicians, volunteers, and student assistants
  • Ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information
  • Empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and use information ethically
  • Foster a love of learning and reading in each student
  • Ensure access to information for all students of varying abilities

Job Description


The employee oversees the support and operation of the IT environment to ensure that critical systems and applications are available to support patient care and business operations. The IT Manager acts as the senior network and system administrator for the organization. The IT Manager is also required to strategically plan for the lifecycle of IT systems.

Employee performs the following duties:

  • Installs and maintains computer hardware and software
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Experience is preferred with network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and network security appliances (i.e. content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention)
  • Must have a working knowledge of email server administration and email/spam filtering
  • Answers employee questions regarding technology policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software problems at the desktop, server, and network level
  • Oversees the daily performance of computer systems and responds to correct any outages
  • Performs daily maintenance operations such as reviewing logs
  • Procures IT hardware and software and maintains support agreements and warranties for equipment.
  • Cisco switch experience a plus
  • Ubiquiti WAP experience a plus
  • Mac, Chromebook, and Windows support
  • Working knowledge of VMware
  • Microsoft Office 365 administrative experience
  • Google Apps for Education administrative experience
  • Knowledge working with Smart Boards, Epson Brightlink, Eno and Promethean Boards
  • Microsoft Active Directory/Server 2012r2 experience
  • Records any system changes or problems within the IT trouble ticketing system
  • Creates and updates system policies and procedures to ensure consistent and secure IT operations.
  • Experience is preferred in the planning and layout of local and wide area networking
  • Collaborates with users to identify problems and to streamline operations
  • Updates system and network documentation as needed when changes are made
  • Contacts appropriate vendors when external problems occur within the IT systems such as program errors or communications outages
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. and be able to work from a ladder to pull wire and cable
  • Must be able to perform certain maintenance activities after normal hours and to be available for on-call rotations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

The position requires:

  • Associates/ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • 2-4 years of field experience in hardware, software, and networking support
  • A+/Security Plus certification (preferred) (A+ can be waived with 2 yrs of actual experience)
  • CCNA certification (bonus)
  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting
