Important Update Regarding E-Learning for Remainder of School Year (2019/2020)
Today Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and Dr. Karen Salmon announced that public schools would be closed through the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. Based on advice from our ACSI legal counsel and medical experts in the field, we have been advised to follow the Governor’s state mandates and guidelines.
Today I am announcing that Grace Academy will continue E-Learning in a virtual online format through June 1. The last academic day for our Seniors Class of 2020 will be May 22. We will continue to monitor the state regulations as it pertains to “stay at home orders” and various regulations. It is our plan to return personal belongings to students and collect school issued laptops, iPad, Chromebooks, after June 1. This plan will follow the phased guidelines permitted by the state.
We will continue to monitor the various phases in the state COVID-19 plan to determine what will be permitted in celebrating our commencement ceremony. Based on the various phases, we will determine when and how staff and students will be able to return to school for summer camps, tutoring, and other summer activities.
Thank you for your patience with us and understanding the circumstances we never expected to be in. May God bless you and your families and please stay safe!!
