K3 – Grade 12: Art
Students have a tremendous opportunity to discover their talents in art
K3 – Grade 5: Music Appreciation
With a strong emphasis on exploring lyrics, rhythm, melody, harmony, and instrumentation, our well-rounded curriculum will motivate even our youngest students to perform with passion. Aside from our general music classes, each student elementary student is given an opportunity to perform at least one time in the school year, with our biggest production being the Christmas Musical involving grades 2-5.
Additionally this spring, auditions will be held for students in grades 3-5 specifically interested in enhancing their musical knowledge through an advanced elementary choir, where they will have the opportunity to sing in our Spring concert.
Middle School Performing Arts
As students mature through middle school years, we give students the independence to choose their own musical paths. For students with a continued interest in singing and performing, we offer middle school choir. This class meets every day in preparation for our Christmas and Spring concerts.
Students are also given the opportunity to audition for our Middle School Worship Band as a singer or instrumentalist. This group practices once a week in preparation to play praise and worship for our Middle School chapel services.
High School Performing Arts
For high school students interested in improving their ability to sing and read music our department offers High School Choir to students in grades 9-12. This class meets every day in preparation for our annual Christmas and Spring concerts. In an effort to use their gifts on and off the stage, we try to provide opportunities for our choir to go into the community (nursing homes, schools for special needs, the mall, etc.) to exemplify 1 Peter 4:10. Students are also given the opportunity to audition for our High School Worship Band as a singer or instrumentalist. This group practices once a week in preparation to play praise and worship for our High School chapel services.
